INTRODUCTION TO FABRIC COLLAGE

The aim of this workshop is to introduce you to Fabric Collage, a method of creating fabric pictures that can be used in many ways – cushions, bags, quilts, decorating clothing, in fact the uses are endless, just use your imagination and personalise anything! The workshop is suitable for anyone who is keen to explore a new approach.
Jane has put together a range of designs to choose from depending on your preference and experience. The ‘Girl’ is the most straightforward, the ‘Kingfisher’ is a little more complicated and the ‘Poppies’ is the most time consuming - it is fiddly in places. None of the designs are beyond the capability of students new to Fabric Collage. Choose a design you like but bear in mind the more complicated the picture the more likely the collage will need to be completed at home. The collage for the ‘Girl’ can easily be completed in a day.
