We have some fantastic news here at Sew & So's! Sew and So’s has worked in collaboration with East Suffolk Council Plan for the Future Grant Scheme to help enable more people to access our workshops, and build their confidence in returning to the studio once more. With their support we have had a brand new stairlift installed to enable people with mobility issues to attend workshops upstairs as well as, larger, more manoeuvrable tables in the studio and 2 sewing machines to use in classes for those who cannot bring their own machine from home. In the studio we have installed a projector to allow tutors to demonstrate what they are doing on a large screen. This means people don't need to leave their seats, and can see what the tutor is doing in much great detail!

All the changes have been positively met by customers and tutors alike.  The workshops and classes are beginning to make use of the technology, especially in showing close ups of demonstrations meaning people do not have to be in close proximity to the tutor.  Customers keep popping down to the shop to tell us how much they love the new tables! It gives them a much larger space to work on and the fact they are height adjustable is a massive bonus. The extra sewing machines are now on hand, if required, and are suitable for the aspects of sewing that the workshops cater for.  These have been regularly used by new and returning customers.

We hope you enjoy our new and improved studio space and we can't wait for you to visit soon. Massive thank you to East Suffolk Council Plan for the Future Grant Scheme for supporting our business after the challenges of Covid-19.
